The reccommended limits depends on several things such as the type of the poker game that you prefer and of course your gaming style. Generally we can reccommend that your bankroll should be at least 20 times of the buy-in for cash games and 40 times of the buy-in for tournaments. How it works in the practice? Let’s say your current bankroll is $100. In this case you should play up to $2 sit-and-go tournaments and advance one level up to $5 your balance reached $200. If you lost in any case and your bankroll decreased to $40, then you need to go down to $1 tournaments.
